The Ontario PC party is pleased to welcome Christine Elliot to the team following her acclamation as the candidate for Newmarket – Aurora.

“Christine is a great addition to our Ontario PC team and we thank her for her continued commitment to our Party,” says leader Doug Ford. “Her years of experience as an MPP will serve her well as the representative for the people of Newmarket – Aurora. Christine has an incredible record of public service in her community and she will fight for the issues that matter to Newmarket – Aurora residents at Queen's Park.“

Her experience in the health care sector in particular is a welcome asset to the team. After serving Ontario as an MPP for nine years, including as Deputy Leader, Christine became the Patient Ombudsman in 2016, where she fought for better access to health care for all Ontarians.

“I thank the members of Newmarket – Aurora for welcoming me as their candidate,” says Christine. “I look forward to representing the community at Queen’s Park and joining a unified PC team with our Leader, Doug Ford. We will work tirelessly to turn Newmarket – Aurora blue and make Doug Ford Premier. Ontario families are ready for change. You can count on the PC Party to bring that change and form government on June 7th.”
